Unionville Rules of the Road
All Motorized Vehicles & Garden Tractors
For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please review and follow the rules below for operating tractors and motorized vehicles in Unionville during the Thresheree. Let’s all do our part to keep the event safe, organized, and fun for everyone.
Rules of the Unionville Roads:
- Operators of personal vehicles must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proof of insurance is required upon registration.
- A registration card will be provided and must be displayed facing forward on the motorized vehicle and/or garden tractor at all times. A handicapped mirror hanger must be present to register.
- There will be no motorized vehicles allowed beyond the Welcome Barn gate. Exemption for Handicapped/Disabled, with proper signage on ATV/UTV, and Exhibitors performing essential show duties are allowed with proper signage.
- 5 MPH is the maximum speed allowed.
- Excessively loud vehicles will not be tolerated.
- Bumping of pedestrians with personal vehicles is strictly prohibited.
- Blocking pedestrians’ right of way with personal vehicles is not allowed and is plain rude.
- Continuous joyriding is disturbing and has no place with the public.
- The personal vehicle shall have a seat for every passenger.
- Underage children of paid members possessing an ATV safety certificate may, with their parents’ direction, be allowed to operate personal vehicles, utility vehicles, and equipment in the pursuit of club-related activities. Provided that they are capable and have no more than one passenger accompanying them at a time.
- No motorized vehicles are to be used within the campground during quiet hours; this includes tractors, garden tractors, ATVs/UTVs, etc. Show officials, law enforcement/security, and emergency personnel are EXEMPT from this rule.
- These Rules of the Road are not to be construed as all-inclusive and final. The safety and well-being of the public are to be considered in the operation of personal vehicles on the grounds of the Union Thresheree.
- Members elected to the Board of Directors for the Union Thresherman’s Club shall have the right to interpret and enforce the Rules of the Road.
